How to Make Google Default Search Engine in Microsoft Edge
- Open Browser in a new Tab and click three dot located at the top right corner.
- Choose Settings and visit the page edge://settings.
- In next page, from the left side, choose the option Privacy and services.
- Thereafter go to right side and click on Address bar.
- Make a click on Manage search engine as per below screenshot.
- Then, choose the option Add.
- After clicking on Add, a new small window will appear on screen which showing Add search engine. Here, you should fill all necessary information.
- Under Search Engine, type Google.
- Under keyword text field, type google.com.
- In third box, you have to type URL. What will be URL and where it comes from?
For getting URL, type Google.com in a new browser tab. As soon as, the page loading completed, copy whole address from address bar including % sign. It will be your URL.
- Paste this URL which you copied earlier, in last box of previous tab under URL with %s in place of query.
- Click on Add button.
After adding Google Chrome your search engine, it will display under address bar in a row. you should change search engine to google default browser also.
For this, click three dots from the Google Row and choose the option Make default.
